Reader Questions

If you have a question about any of my stories, please email me and I'll post selected ones here along with my answers.

From Judy in Tempe regarding NO TIME TO LOSE:

Question:"I do hope you're going to tell Tom's story. PLEASE!!"

Carrie's answer: "I thought Tom was a real sweetie and I enjoyed allowing his sibling rivalry with Jamie to percolate. Since Jamie found love in NO TIME TO LOSE, it only seems fair for Tom to have his own happy ending. But right now, I'm not contracted to write Tom's story. Maybe someday...."

SECRETS IN TEXAS:

Question: You refer to Warren Jeffs in SECRETS IN TEXAS. Had he been arrested when you wrote the book?

Carrie’s Answer: No, the book went to print several months before Warren Jeff’s was captured in Nevada. Although I researched polygamous sects for SECRETS IN TEXAS, the Zion’s Gate group I devised was completely fictitious.

FOUR LITTLE PROBLEMS:

Question: Are you aware Harry S. Truman was a Democrat? How did this get by your editor?

Carrie’s Answer: LOL, I’m now painfully aware Harry was a Democrat. There are generally three people who read the manuscript several times before it goes to production and this discrepancy got by all of us. My editor is in Canada and may not have been well versed in American political history, but I should have known better. Sigh. I hate having mistakes in my books, especially once they’ve gone to print and there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it. That may be the reason I usually don’t read my books once they’re released. It’s a control thing. ;-)
